Click here to access the online exhibit of women photographers from National Geographic. Once on the website, select a photographer to see a gallery of four images. Choose an image and read the photographer's comment on it. Also, notice the rules of composition evident in the photo. After viewing that photographer's work, select another photographer and repeat the process until you have viewed the work of at least 5 photographers. Then, post a comment on the blog by following these requirements:
1. explain which portfolio you liked best and why, including at least THREE specific details from her photography to support your view.
2. sign your post with your first name and the initial of your last name

Click on the links below to examine the stories and photos and/or video on tornadoes in the south. On your own paper, list two similarities between the three news sources and at least two differences.
1. CNN (national online news sources)
2. CBS 42 (local TV station)
3. The Birmingham News (local newspaper)

1. Which source, in your opinion, provided the best coverage? Why?
2. Which source do you prefer and why?

National Geographic Women Photographers

Click here to access the Newseum's online exhibit of women photographers from National Geographic. Once on the website, select photo gallery and then one of the five images at the bottom of the web page to access a portfolio of photographs. Make sure you have volume control as well so you can listen to the photographers discuss their work either with the computer speaker or using your headphones. After viewing that photographer's work, select menu at the top of the page and then select another photographer. Repeat that process until you have viewed the work of ALL 5 photographers. Then, post a comment on the blog by following these requirements:
1. explain which portfolio you liked best and why, including at least THREE specific details from her photography to support your view.
2. include what you learned from that photographer that you could apply in your own photography
3. sign your post with your first name and the initial of your last name

After you have posted, view the comments of other students.
