Two similarities between the three news sources is that they all included the same player in their headline and were written in Vancouver, British Columbia. Two differences between the three news sources is the length of the articles and how much detail they went into. My favorite source was The Eagle, because it covered each player and their goal, rather than just focusing on the one player that scored a hat trick. I prefer reading match articles that describe a lot of what happened in detail. I usually read articles to get my news information, rather than watching it on television.

-some where more factual than others.
-the stories were all very different lengths, which caused some of the stories to be less factual.
Similarities:
- Most of the facts were the same, I could find what I needed
- the topic was explained in similar ways.
Questions:
I feel like Eagle covered my topic mote in depth than than CNN or KBTX, because it included facts, quotes and other minor details than the others. Normally I prefer KBTX because it what I'm use to trusting because I feel like the reporters know their facts.
The Alabama State Elections

2: All three talk about Moore's Sexual Alligations
Differences
1: CNN has some graphs that depict on how they won, KBTX shows what time did it happen after the election and The Eagle showed where it took place.
2: KBTX showed three videos about the topic. CNN showed only one and The Eagle showed only a picture.
I would likely prefer CNN, because it is a national broadcasting network and both KBTX and The Eagle are local broadcasting networks.

Similarities:
1.All included pictures about the impact of Hurricane Harvey
2. They all included quotes from different people

1. Not all included videos about Hurricane Harvey
2. Not all included added links that talked more about Harvey or what you could do to help

1.In my opinion The Eagle provided the best coverage because while the others ones only talked about one specific thing The Eagle covered multiple things that were related to Hurricane Harvey.
2. I prefer KBTX because the article was short and to the point but also provided a video if you were looking for more information. This is similar to the type of news source I generally use because they both are very short and to the point.

Similarities:
1. All included details as to the compromise between the Democrats and Republicans.
2. Each source mentioned how Trump aims at having the new tax bill passed before Christmas.
Differences:
1. CNN was the only source to not include direct quotes.
2. The Eagle and KBTX stories read like a real news story, while CNN was primarily numbers and statistics.
Questions:
1. I think that The Eagle provided the best coverage as it summarized all aspects of the bill in a way that was easy to read and comprehend.
2. I tend to prefer The Eagle because it is easy to access on my phone, all of their news is concise, and I prefer reading articles rather than listening to a broadcast.

Similarities:
1. Every source provided direct quotes.
2. All three sources contained at least on picture/video.
Differences:
1. Some sources included more context on the conflict
2. Not every source contained all points of view
Questions:
1. I think that CNN provided the best coverage because the website had multiple videos that explained every side or complication of the conflict.
2. I prefer CNN as a news source because they have the resources to cover local, national, and international events.
Similarities: 1) They each were connected to the government in someway

Difference:
1) Out of all the 3 articles, none of them were based off of the same idea.
2) They all have different dates or times of being updated.
In my opinion, CNN 10 had the best coverage because it went in order, and they had more pictures and videos to go with what they were talking about in the article.
I would say the KBTX is the best source because it has the occurrences in a time order, which makes me understand it a lot better.

1 kbtx didn't have a good photo of people on the topic and the eagle had a picture of protesters
2 they both updated every ten minuets but they had different updates

ReplyDeleteNet Neutrality Repeal
Similarities:
1. The articles all discussed the new decision about net neutrality and it's effects on our country.
2. Each article had a picture and/or a video about the topic.
Differences:
1. The more local news did not have as many facts about the decision or it's effects.
2. KBTX had more of an hour-by-hour article with updates about the decision.
I personally think CNN had the best coverage due to the layout of the story and the facts they provided with it.
I would prefer KBTX because it is more local and understandable.
